MARATHUMB CHALLENGE

Saucony made the first app that challenged runners to run more than they scroll.

For Saucony’s latest shoes, we didn’t just make another launch campaign. We started a challenge that tapped into runners’ biggest enemy: phones.

That’s right. Because our thumbs scroll three marathons a year. So Saucony launched the Marathumb Challenge – an app that challenges you to leave your thumbs in the dust and run for a chance to win custom swag.

Oh, and my line – Give Your Thumb the Finger – somehow became the main headline and swag for the challenge. I like giving fingers, especially for an important cause.

Team: Jeff Beck, Angelo Patrona, Liam Soren, Apple Xenos, Dylan Lang, Kyle Tellier.

Press: Ad Age editor’s pick, Contagious campaign of the week.

Awards: Clio Sports Grand x 2, Cannes Lions shortlist x 3, Clio Bronze, Effie Awards Silver and Bronze, One Show Merit, Communication Arts Winner.

One of the lines I had in a manifesto made it to stickers, swag and even a headline about the headline 🤭
