Frontier Airlines gave the “Pepsi Jet Guy” a jet 30 years after he was famously denied one.

30 years ago, during the Super Bowl, Pepsi ran a promotion: collect points, get cool stuff. The main prize? A harrier jet for 7 million points.

John Leonard collected 7 million points, but Pepsi said it was a joke. So in February 2026, Frontier Airlines decided to redeem his 7 million soda points for 7 million Frontier miles.

But that was not it. We let everyone redeem any loyalty points for up to 5K Frontier miles. It resulted in 2,500+ flights booked within a week and Frontier stocks going up by 40%.
