Frontier Airlines finally gave the “Pepsi Jet Guy” a jet 30 years after he was famously denied one.

30 years ago, during the Super Bowl, Pepsi ran a promotion: collect points, get cool stuff. The main prize? A harrier jet for 7 million points.

John Leonard collected 7 million points, but Pepsi said it was a joke. So in February 2026, Frontier Airlines decided to redeem his 7 million soda points for 7 million Frontier miles.

But that was not it. As the most rewarding airline in the sky, Frontier let everyone redeem any loyalty points for up to 5K Frontier miles. That resulted in 2,500+ flights booked within a week and Frontier stocks going up by 40%.
